Winters Wrath

Well, we’ve had two major snow events in the last two weeks. The second storm produced record breaking snow acumullations of up to two feet here in Fayetteville, AR! To maintain sanity during these snowpocalypes, I’ve been tying white bass flies and recollecting 50+ fish days of seasons past. I always tie some new patterns for whities every year and this year I’m diggin’ the Collier’s Gizmo Bugger and I’m adding the relatively new ‘Fish Skull’ heads to my KC’s Slider as well as a few standard patterns. These heads slide over the eye of the hook so they can be adapted to almost any streamer style fly. I can’t wait to try them out on white bass, as well as smallmouth, trout, stripers and largemouth. If you’ve never caught white bass on the fly you’re definitely missing out, so give me a holler and let me show you how and where, I know you’ll love it! The season is just around the corner! Tightlines and gentle breezes.
